The Mission Cooperative Program, spearheaded by Catholic Dioceses across the USA, offers AIM USA an opportunity to tell the stories of Benedictines and Cistercians in Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Caribbean and Eastern Europe.
The dioceses assign AIM USA to parishes where speakers can tell the stories at Masses in parish churches. A request for donations is also made.
Telling the stories and giving voice to monastics living in developing countries offers to us in the US an awareness of mission lands and the impact of Benedictines in their local areas. Benedictines by their stability of presence and prayer and their response to the needs of their neighbors is a witness of welcome and care for the other.
